WELL. i,m 8 weeks pregnant and from the uk.
In the Uk progesterone supplments are not prescripted due to not being approved by the british medical association.
i,ve nagged my consultant and GP'S many many times on this subject.
i,ve been bleeding on and off for over 2 weeks and its bright red also.
i had a scan last tuesday and the sonographer could not see anything in the womb only thickening.
So I have another scan tommorrow to check.
My consultant said even though i was 7 weeks by my last period then i might only be 4/5 weeks pregnant and it is not unheard of that a tiny sac might not be picked up at this stage.
So think positive hun.... feet up and rest and get your hcg levels done.
My levels went from 1300 to 2300 to 3413 so they are increasing but not doubling as they should.
Get them to check your progesterone levels as well it is normal for this to be low in alot of pregnancys.
mine went from 18 to 18.2 to 16.3 so has decreased a little but is till above the 15 mark which is important to prolong a pregnancy.
I have had 7 miscarriage so Know the ins and outs of this topic.
just because you are bleeding it does nto mean you will miscarry so think postive and feet up!
if i can help email me via my profile from one pregnant person to another you will be fine... fingers crossed
lots of babyglue dust coming your way xxx

At 6 weeks, I dont think its odd to not hear/see anything. 6 weeks is the fine line that they might be able to start seeing something. As for the bleeding, I would go to the hospital and have blood work done to make sure your HCGs aren't going down. Other than that.. get plenty of rest and try as best you can not to stress. If it's pink or brown chill out. If it's red and heavy, accompanied by cramps or if you notice clots or tissue go to the ER.

I would go to the hospital ASAP. I had the same thing happen with my last pregnancy. They couldn't see the baby in the sac or find the heartbeat but they drew my blood, checked my hcg level (pregnancy hormone), and then had me come back to make sure the hcg level was increasing. I spotted early in both my pregnancies and everything was fine. I have experienced a miscarriage but I was bleeding and cramping. Get checked out. I'll say a prayer for u.

I hate this questions!!
I HAVE GONE through two miscarriages missy.
And believe me I have gone through the same thing you are going through right now and believe me I wasn't waiting for it to happen.
If I were you would go to the ER right now.

You can save that baby by having some progesterone!!!
