The big ten is still up for grabs. It is probably OSU's to win, but any of 5 teams could win it. Michigan, Purdue, Wisconsin, OSU, or Michigan state all have a chance. Indiana and the Illini might make a run, as well.
Michigan is of course the biggest disappointment, with MSU Indiana and Illinios all having good seasons.
The Big ten took a beating early in the season because they replaced 4 or 5 coaches, and have another 3 or so that are 2 year guys. They also lost 3 or 4 3 year starters at QB. They are off to a slow start, but should be playing much better by the end of the season. They will be underranked, and therefore playing weaker in teams in bowl games, so it wouldn't suprise me if they go 5-2 in bowls this year.

Pac-10 Baby.

2 teams in the top 5.
The National championship will come down to the winner of Cal/USC.
Oregon is a big surprise, the way QB Dennis Dixon ended last season, on the bench, I'm really surprised the way he has come back. He and Cals Deshean Jackson are the best players in the conference.
UCLA is a dissappointment, they got it together yesterday, but their offense is shaky at best.
Also, I have to say John David Booty hasn't lived up to expectations, although their is a tremendous amount of pressure on whoever plays QB at USC.

Hot players:

USC Defense, that whole group is a beast
Justin Forsett - Cal
Dennis Dixon - Oregon
Deshean Jackson - Cal

The SEC is a whirlwind. It is a one horse race with Kentucky trying to make it interesting.I'm not sure which is more surprising.Kentucky being undefeated or Auburn having two losses.Any way LSU keeps marching on.
