Actually y'know I think that recycling isn't a good thing, at least not the way things are going right now in rich countries like Canada and the US.
Its a band-aid solution to a hemorraging wound.
OK so the concept is fine (there's nothing wrong with band-aids for minor wounds) but what I see is a whole lot of rich suburbanites putting out their little box of recycling and then feeling good about their hugely wasteful lives. In effect its a 'guilt pill' that allows people to rationalize their otherwise terribly wasteful existence.
As I see it the real three R's of environmentalism are reduce, reduce and reduce. We have to severely reduce the production-consumption cycle not just carry on with the same old consumerism and then try to catch up after most of the damage has been done.
Overheating homes and offices, driving motor vehicles too much (and using gas burning engines of all sorts), and making and buying way too many frivolous consumer goods are all much bigger factors.
Most recycled goods, and if fact most goods overall shouldn't have been manufactured or bought in the first place.
Its more important what you don't do than what you do do, but thats a difficult concept for many people to get around.
To me recycling in its current format is being penny-wise and pound foolish.

what do u mean recycle ideas?? b more specific in that question. but litterally recycle. reycyling is basically reusing things that can b reused and not using things unless they absolutly must b used. for example, at the store have ur own bag (that u use every time) to put the groceries in. that way u dont support the bag making and all the bags end up in the land fill when they culdve been reused. and if u forgot the reuseable bag for the market, then use those bags but use as littl as u can. then there shuld b a bag recycling station at the market so they can recycle it too. like u can use it before u put it in recycling. like yesterday my dad went to the supermarket and came back with a bunch of bags that the food was in. and me and my sis reused them to put trash in. we went to the creek near my house (ther was a lot of trash) and picked up all the trash and put it in the trash bags then we recycled what we culd otta the trash. then we cept the bags. then we biked back to the store and put those bags in the recycling! so ya.... woa......i wrote a lot lol i had no clu what u were askin for so i just put random stuff in there lol hope it helps!

Moon, it's a whole new crowd out there. They won't even realize that is a question you already asked. I asked one question that I had asked when Sawman was still here. I guess I asked because I was missing him.. Anyway, the question did good the first time, but even better the second time.
It's okay to recycle.

You'd be amazed at the stuff that I reuse and recycle so why NOT recycle old questions too. Used font reads just as good as brand new font. LOL

Did you know the average beer bottle is re-used 6 times before being recycled?

Recycling is a fantastic idea. We should recycle and reuse everything we can since the Earth's resources are finite.

Recycling questions?
Well, if it's recycled then it has transformed or transfigured,..then it becomes an ALL NEW question again, of the same substance, but of a different look;..doesn't it?

probably not since the same people usually answer your questions. Answering the same questions gets really boring. If you can't think of anything new, just relax awhile amnd they'll come to you :)

um well you lose five points so just answer questions when you cant think of a new one.
Recycling paper and plastic is good but im not sure about questions unless you didnt get an answer to one.

We are all made of each other; we breathe the same air. So, why not ask the same questions?
