All time fave is Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, I also like anything by Dean Koontz or Indian Love stories by Rosanne Bittner or Cassie Edwards. I also love Dr. Phil's books I especially like Self Matters. The Bible is always a good book it is kind of deep for a beginner though. If you love dogs like I do you might like A dog Year by Jon Katz a very good read it is so good and it is a tear jearker as well. I loved Tuesdays with Morrie it is based on a true story about a man with ALS and it sticks to me to this day and I read it often. Song of the Wolf is also a good book it is old but very good. It al depends on what you like and I can read anything if you are not sure check out some of Oprah's book club books at your local bookstore they are usually very good and they make you think. Good luck and in a book you are always the star and you can travel to anywhere you want to. It is so cool!

Ismael by Daniel Quinn
A philosophical study told from the point of view of a gorilla. I know it sounds kind of out there but it is though provoking and interesting and touching.
