I haven't even noticed but I will be checking this out later as I've taped the double episode tonight.
Cadbury's has had the Corrie franchise for years now (I use to work for Cadbury's) . I thought it was a very lucrative deal.

The contract with Cadburys ran out and they decided not to sponsor the programme anymore, rather than the other way round. Maybe because Coronation Street is getting to be worse than The Jeremy Kyle Show. You've got to admit, the acting is piss poor these days.

Hmm Cadburys have had a lot of product recalls and stuff lately - possibly Corrie didn't like that.

I'd like to think it was for the sake of children's health but I am inclined to believe it was down to who offered them the most money.
I did giggle when I noticed jeremy kyle was sponsored by 'learn direct'
