to make my X come and get his kids for HIS weekend? He hasn't seen them since early July...lately I have been working 2 jobs, scouts, school and everything else I would like to have a weekend for myself but he refuses to come see them. He lives 4 hours away so its not likely I can just take them over there and leave them on his doorstep.

Any suggestions?

Man this is a hard one....I know you must be stressed out with the kids an d school and scouts, but you can't make him see the kids if he doesn't want to, even though he should and believe me he will regret it later in life but it will be too late, and even though you DESERVE a weekend off why do you wanna send your kids somewhere that they are obviously not wanted ( or be seen ).Honey just do you and take care of your kids........

I can only imagine how difficult it is for you, but are you sure you want someone who has shown that he is not interested in your children taking them for a weekend?

How will the children feel if they are "forced" on someone who does not want them around?

You need and deserve a break. Do you have anyone who can take the children for a couple of days? Relative, friend? Does your community have a resource for single parents? Perhaps a club where you can exchange sitting duties for a weekend? Does your church have a ministry that can assist you?

I feel that it may do more harm to the children if you "force" them on dead-beat daddy.

Wishing you the best...

make his *** man up! so tired of men just going to "Daddy Land" where they don't have to be responsible for their actions. You made the babies together now he needs to help you raise them even though your relationship with him has gone sour. Men don't understand, mothers get tired too! while we are raising their kids they are off running the streets, getting on with there lives. It isn't too much to ask for an absentee parent to care for their kids on a weekend. If he doesn't want to be a Dad tell him to relinquish his rights.

Go to court, explain your situation and state that you feel he should be sharing responsibility for his children. The court can order him to do this and if he doesn't comply with the court order he could be in trouble. The usual ruling for this would be every second weekend but don't quote me as I am not a judge but speak from experience.
