Hey sameermalik37,
The battery will damage if you leave it plugged in after it's been charged 100%. Heat it's what damages a battery. When charging your battery, it obviously gets heat. After a while, it will eventually get damaged. Chargers use up a lot of energy when plugged in. They are a main part of your electricity bill.
Also it's a good way to help the environment, don't waste so much energy by leaving it plugged in. :)

It really depends on the laptop type - how new etc - the newer one seem to know when they are docked and don't charge the battery - however if you want to keep a long batery life - the rule is to unplug when 100% charged and then drain to at least 10% Batteries do have a "memory " and that is why draining and recharging is best for them - very similar to cell phones -

leave the battery alone,it will take care of itself,it has a 'built in' system for that, but sometime you need to 'adjust' it,by that it means unplug the ac and let it run until it shuts itself completey down, then plug the ac back in and it will recharge,i have one that i have been using 5 years and no problem at all with it doing the above

As a rule of thumb, most laptop batts like to be completely discharged and recharged about once a month. So every now and then unplug it, use it until it dies and then plug it back in.

no not with modern laptops and they use speical battery with cells, you can leave it in until your hearts conetent,
by the way it is actually bad for the battery if you wait until the battery is dead before you charge it, just stick in the power when you want.
