I was brought up with the belief that you should never ask any one about their sex life, preference, etc. I think it's still a good rule and wish everyone would follow it. Some things should remain private.

"Do you love me?" should never be asked because if you have to ask it the chances are you're going to get a negative response, or the person to whom the question is directed will feel obliged to give you the answer you want. Either that, or you're so insecure yourself that you should be questioning your motives. If someone truly loves you, it's a given - you know. If you don't know, then don't ask!
