If the BoSox lose and the Indians win today, they will have identical records. If the Sox beat LA and Cleve beats the Yanks, which team will have home field advantage in the ALCS?

Whoever won the regular season series between Cleveland and Boston gets the home field advantage I think

Sox won the season series against the Indians, 5-2, so Boston gets homefield.

Boston holds the #1 AL seed, Cleveland #2, LA #3. NY, as the wildcard, is #4 regardless of record and does not get homefield in the first two rounds. (World Series homefield is predetermined, this year belongs to the AL champion.)

It depends on how they did vs. eachother this season. I'm not sure but I think if it's equal, they'll look at how they did against the second seed, third seed and so on.
