Do you think he would find it funny? It's my cousin's birthday and I have no clue what to get him (he's my only male cousin and he just became my cousin last year when his mom married my uncle).

So, would that be a good gift?

I was eight when I watched Life of Brian, and it was the funniest thing ever. Although it does depend on his sense of humour, there's actually some people out there who don't find Monty Python funny.

I would go for it though, it has a cartoony cover.

I have an eight year old and depending on how much you want to spend.
He may be into yugi o or pokemon cards(5-15 bucks)
or if your wanting to get a little more spendy there's a new toy that recently came out that my son LOVES, Mega Rig Shark Ship(40 bucks), and there's also the squid sub(14 bucks) that goes to it.
Also, you can never ever miss with money in a card or a gift card!
Also, there's bionicles (which range from 8-20 bucks).
Moon sand is the biggest waste of money. Dollar store toys are junk(I let my son use his own money if he wants something from there). Hot wheels cars are too obscure, You never know if he has that one or this one, etc.
If you need anymore info, feel free to send me a message. We're on our way to another kids birthday party(twin boys)!!!!

Go to an Army Surplus store and get him an ammo box. My son loved the one I got him when he was that age! He put his money and special things in it and still treasures it! He is almost 20-years-old now. I think the boy would really love one and it is something he could keep for a very long time which would always remind him of you!

As far as Monty Python is concerned: I do NOT care for him and that really wouldn't be something special that the boy would want to keep for the rest of his life!

I wouldn't think so, but who's to say really without knowing his personality.

I have a eight yr. old son and he's more into Transformers, Spiderman and anything involving sports.

Monty python and the Holy Grail? Hmm...maybe when he's twelve?

Shrek--# 1, 2 and 3
Spiderman

Monty Python is probably way over his head. Good luck.
It would help to ask his Mom what he has been asking
for. That's what I use to do when the grandkids were little.
Now they are grown and money is better.

I really don't think so, some of those jokes are hard to get, I think he might like interest around 12. 8 year old boys like video games, play weapons, maybe a game board, that new TMNT movie, stuff like that.

I doubt it. The humor in it is generally out of the reach of an 8 yo brain. It is one of the funniest movies ever made but it takes a bit to "get it".

Unless he was an extremely mature 8 yr old, I'd say most of the jokes in that movie would go over his head. Just my opinion.

He might like it or not, either way I think it is too intense or racy or otherwise inappropriate for an 8 year old...

If you want to pass on some nostalgia, why not try three stooges --- or spanky and our gang?

No, he is too young to appreciate that kind of humour.
There are many animated movies by Disney and Pixar he would enjoy a lot more.
Or a superhero movie, not a dark one.
