If you have a wireless router then the router connects to the Internet and you just need to connect your laptop to the router. There is NO NEED to use an installation disk for your broadband connection. Just make sure your laptop wireless is switched on and your computer should prompt you that wireless networks are available (assuming you are not already using a wired network connection).
If you do not have a wireless router then you won't be able to make a wireless connection.

This means that you cannot use wireless on your laptop. Basically it doesn't have the wireless "chip". You could however upgrade your laptop by installing a wireless card internally. Or you could buy a usb adaptor, which plugs into a usb port and can be removed. I have two of them and they work great!

Most of todays laptops are WIFI compatible, and most of todays laptops have a switch or button that turns the WIFI on and off. Read your manual or just look on your machine and see if you have on of these switches. If so, turn it on. Then right click on the icon in the tray and tell it to connect to a network. This will open the window that lists all available networks. Choose the one you wish to connect to and then click "Connect". That should do it.

Depends on what type of laptop that you purchased? Majority of the laptops these days have wifi compatability. So it would just depend on what you have purchased. You will probably see an icon that would look like so ((i)) that is the wifi icon showing that you do have a wifi connection. This icon would be located on the keyboard section. If you do have this then you have wifi internally. You may want to look at downloading drivers for the computer. Go to the manufacturers page for this type of upgrades.

If your laptop is as new as you say it should have an ethernet card installed already (On board) Check in device manager to see if the drivers have been loaded for it and that it is enabled.
