I want to see how different I look with brown eyes. Anyone know any national stores that sell different coloured contacts and if so do you know the price range? Thanks guys.

Also, I'd prefer not to buy online. Can you buy them in shops?

It is illegal to sell contact lenses to someone without a prescription because they are considered a medical device. Even those cool novelty ones (cat eyes, prints, etc) require a prescription, this is to ensure the correct fit for your eye. If your just pop some contacts in without being properly fitted for them by an optometrist, you will risk damage to your eye and potentially blindness. It really doesn't cost much to have an eye exam and get fitted for contacts, the Wal Mart here in my town has an optometrist and I think it's around $80 for the exam and fitting. I think they even give you some free samples of different contact lenses to try out before you buy them.

You can get coloured contact lenses at lensfinder if your'e in the UK. The page you want is at http://www.lensfinder.co.uk/browse-categories/contact-lenses/cosmetic-lenses/ . Although you can get novelty lenses with no magnification you absolutely should see an optician before getting any contact lenses. They aren't worth going blind over.

LensCrafters is an "excellent" place to purchase what you need for the eyes. They also can refer you to other places where "your requirements" can be met. In any event, always try to work with reputable places. You only have "one set of eyes." Peace, Love and God Bless.

I know regular optometrists have colored contacts, mine does, maybe you could go to one and get contacts with no prescription. And costume stores sell contacts, but usually they only have them for like Halloween costumes and such and they would usually be in weird colors like white or neon green. But my best bet would be the optemertrists

If you are looking for non prescription ones then most indoor swap meets have them. Google is also a good place to check as well.
Prescription ones can be found at most optometrists.
