I called him and left a message with his secretary to give us a call. He emailed us a house that he thought we might like (never mentioned the fact that we called). So I emailed him back saying that we would like to see another house, while we were at it we would look at his recommendation 2. I told him times that were were available for both sat and sun.
He replied, that he was in contact with their agents, and would email with confirmation. Well less than 4 hours b/4 we are set to see the houses, we hadn't heard a thing. Then he contacts us, and one of the houses doesn't want a sunday viewing. Why would he tell us that time, if we couldn't see the house we wanted? He is gone this week, and thanksgiving is next weekend. Which means we can't see the house for another 9 days.
What can we do? He has been our agent for months, and has done small things similar to this in the past. Nothing big though. What are our options? We want to see it, but he wont get comission.

He knows we are really serious about buying. We've put in a few offers but for other reasons we didn't sign the deal.
I know he is getting frustrated.. I just want to be able to see this house... but feel guilty if I give the commision to soeone else.. as he has stuck with us for all this time.

Change agents unless you have a contract with him.

What buyers tend to forget is that you are not the only client of your agent. We often juggle many clients and try to devote as much time as possible to all and still have time for our families. I have called to set up showings well in advance and sometimes don't get a response until last min. or even sometimes after the requested appointment. There are so many outside factors that we can not control. The owners may be religious and truly do not want a sunday showing. Give him a chance because it seems like you may of put himethrough alot.

He may think you are wasting his time. Why didn't you sign the other deals.

Just go to another agent.

In his defense, there are a lot of lookers running agents around without buying and it is getting old and expensive. Maybe he doesn't think you are serious. If you have been looking for months its no wonder. They work for a living, they aren't guides.

He is either not broke enough to cater to you (plenty are)
or he doesn't really think you are serious. After months......he's probably tired of indecision.

Call another agent or call directly the agent a home is listed with. In this market the owner is probably willing to show it.

He probably had better things to do. He doensn't think you're serious and thinks you're wasting his time.

Time to end the contract. He's waiting until the last minute to set up the appointments and that is bad customer service.

I highly suspect he is probably a part-time agent that has another job, and that is NOT who you want to do business with.

Change agents before you see the house and he won't get the commission. It goes to the one who shows it to you.
