the best talker in Pro Wrestling. When being interviewed or delivering a promo, or doing a segment, which Wrestler did you think was the best.

For me it was and still is Roddy Piper, Piper Pit is still the benchmark for interview segments. From Jimmy Snuka getting his head smashed with a coconut to Andre challenging Hulk they made for great TV.

Just when you think you know the answers... I change the questions. (Roddy Piper)

Most of the wrestlers today who are viewed as being the best talkers in the wrestling business fall back on catchphrases or dissing the town they're in to get fan reaction. Hell, you or I could do that.

Most people will think I'm nuts but I've picking Kevin Sullivan ... Sullivan was probably one of the smallest wrestlers ever in the industry (a few inches shy of being called a "little person") in regards to his height but when Kevin Sullivan talked, people would listen. People listened because this little guy was winning matches over main eventers on the Independent scene. On national television (WWE & WCW), that was a different story.

Sullivan would often roll his eyes into the back of his head during interviews. He did this 10 years before the Undertaker had his first match. That eye rolling combined with his "maniac-like" personality made him a unique person on the mic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZ_fEnUKdoQ

Edit: On a sidenote, this was one of Pipers' Interviews that I won't forget: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8dtIq8Wdho ... Kids, eat frog legs but don't kill the frog!

Doesn't "Rowdy" Roddy Piper sound like Paul Heyman?

Piper is/was a good talker. He had to be. His wrestling skills were terrible. He's also lucky that he was able to feud with Hogan in a high profile feud during the beginning of the Wrestlemania era.

The ". . . born to controversy" and ". . . I change the questions" quotes were weak. If you go back and watch him deliver either of these lines, the crowd barely reacts.

I always thought Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson was better. While a lot of Piper's jokes fell flat or didn't make sense, Rock's was always gold. When a lot of Piper's tough talk sounded lame, Rock always managed to be convincing. Always.

Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Foley, and Dusty Rhodes were also fantastic talkers. Jake Roberts was usually good. Chris Jericho is a good one, too.

EDIT: I don't get why people are saying Goldberg was a great talker. Please. Other than rasping out "You're next" time after time, the guy barely said anything.

The Rock is a prime candidate (hes great when hes serious and whens he joking around!)

Stone Cold is another he was great with interviews and the mic!

Chris Jericho had some great moments on the highlight reel

hate to admit it but John Cena has some talent on the mic and interviews and really put his opponent silent.

Wow, vast question. the 1st guy to %. up a stick and bang on a log? people exagerate the impacts of pal Holly and Elvis. Beatles? Yeah they have been leaders for specific. Emerson Lake and Palmer had countless impact on present day song in terms of being leaders interior using electronics and so did Deep purple. in my view i might say Marc Bolan. no longer basically grew to become into he an excellent singer, his stylings have inspired countless different greats. Marianne dedicated and Tom Waits can't be missed the two.
