I'm the same way - but I think there is an upside to every obsession - don't give up hope! You can have the body you want, and you can be sane as well. I'm very much a perfectionist when it comes to my own body. It took hard work and discipline, but I am now where I want to be, and I'm having a lot of fun. One thing that may be holding you back is your friends - at your age I had a lot of friends who drank and partied a lot, and loved to indulge in good fatty foods. The only way I could spend time with my friends, was if I were to do those things with them. Eating and drinking a lot will just set you back fitness wise, so I basically had to make a lot of new friends. Now I have friends who are into fitness, like to go to the gym, cook healthy meals at home, play ultimate frisbee do triathlons, etc.

Anyway, details - you need to read up on eating healthy - I suggest "Eating Clean" by Tosca Reno, and Oxygen magazine. If you are only 105 pounds and you are unhappy with your body, I'm going to guess that you just need to reshape a little, NOT lose weight, and weight training will help you do this. It takes A LOT of discipline to cut bad foods out of your diet and eat around 1500 - 1800 calories per day (with one cheat meal per week of course). However, if you are really motivated, you can do it, and you can have fun while doing it.

Being this conscious of your body may mean that you can't just go out and enjoy pizza and beer every week night - some people may think you aren't fun because of it. On the other hand, it means you will take care of yourself, FOR YOURSELF, forever - this means that a lot of men (and women) will respect you and like you more because they know you are not the type to "let yourself go" as soon as you get a ring on that finger. Good luck!

I don't you can help being self-conscious of your body image and nor can the rest of the world. Maybe you will grow out of that vanity state of mind but you are worried you should seek therapy to increase your self esteem.
