1. I always say Salaam and a lot of times people don't say salaam to me when they meet me cuz I'm not an Arabic speaker so they assume that I don't even know what salaam means. Irritates the heck out of me!!
2. I hate it when people disturb me while I'm praying so I always make an effort to stay quiet.
3. I never ever start or finish eating without remembering Allah. If he blesses me with hot food, the least I can do is thank Him!!
4. I'm naturally right-handed so this has never been an issue.
5. Always.
6. Always.
7. Only sometimes but I always pray.
8. I usually say the dua'a but I didn't know about the left leg thing.....I'll keep that in mind.
9. I usually sleep on my right side and I try to say some dua'as or read the Quran but I'm usually so dead tired that I'm asleep in minutes. :)

I do care if some one is praying if I felt I can’t keep silent I am leaving the room so that the person will not disturb as some time your presence can also disturb to the person who is praying.

Of course 33 times Allhamdullah, 34 times Allahhukabar, 33 times Subhan Allah and other azkars specially Surrah Iklash and Durrod Sharif
8] when you enter the bathroom, do you enter with your
"Left Leg" and say the do3aa' ?

ok Christan answering cos i thought you might find the contrast interesting.
1 i say 'hi how are you'
2i keep silent until they have finished.
3 when i was a child we said thanks or grace as we call it, that's a short prayer over the food, now i dont.
4 no cos i am left handed and any way we do not have a taboo about the left hand.
5 when i sneeze i say 'excuse me'
6 when you sneeze i say 'bless you' apparently this habit goes back to middle ages when people thought that the devil could take you over when you sneezed so we say bless you to send the devil away.... funny isn't it how these ideas last.
7 after each prayer we say amen this is followed by thanks be to god, or similar if you are in church
8 i just go in, i never even heard of that idea.
9 again when i was a child i would kneel by the bed to say last prayers. now i dont. but i sometimes read the bible before i sleep.

im keen on observing the following:
2, 3,5,6, 7.
1-when i say Hi, it is equivalent to asaloum 3alaykum , but directed to a foreigner.
4- i eat with a fork in my left hand and a knife in the right.
8-when i enter the bathroom i m in a hurry , so i dont observe the do3a or the left leg.
9- when i go to bed , i sleep on the ganb elli yirayhani.
these are rituals that do not have to be observed.
if i neglect them and follow the rules of islam , and apply religion to life, and if my heart is clean and free from dark sinful thoughts, in sha allah i will be accepted by God in Heaven.

First I am an American born in a christian family with my husband as a tie to Egypt.
1. I used to until people kept saying that they know when I enter I was always saying Salam Alicom, after that it made me feel as if I was bothering others.
2. I will try to keep silent while they pray so that I am not the reason for their distraction everyone has a right to pray in peace and quiet.
3.My 8 yr. old son reminds me to say Bismiallah, so I do if reminded. :D
4. I use my right hand for everything, only time I might use my left is if I am holding something or doing something while I am eating. I try to stick to using my right hand usually.
5. I do say Alhamdulilah when I sneeze but not very loudly.
6. It depends on if I know the person or not, my son for instance makes it known that he sneezed and will continue on until I give him the correct reply. If it was a taxi driver for instance I will not say anything unless he looks very pious.
7. I used to say the tasbe'ah but now if I pray, then I have truly done a small miracle.
8. I only say owouth beka min el kubthi wa kubaith if I feel something is not right or I am freaked out about something. I never think about what leg I step with I only worry about making it to the toilet on time if I keep putting it off.
9. I sleep on my right side naturally, I used to say duaa but now I think about many things then I have to focus on clearing my mind so I can sleep.
I by the way don't see myself religious really, I would say I am more spiritual than religious.
