Can fishes discriminate between the bait on hooks and other things to eat?I mean do they feel the danger?

There could be a couple of reasons for this. For one, the bait is on a line, which even if they don't see it, they may sense its presence by the movement of the water against it. And if they've every been hooked and released, they may just be wary from having a previous bad experience (the 3 minute fish memory has been shown to be a myth). Most wild (stream) fish are wary of foods that don't naturally appear in their environment - that's why fly fishermen take such great care in choosing their flies by location and season.

If you are using the right bait at the right time where the hungry fish is located, be sure that you will catch.
example:
if you are hungry and some one offer you rotten food, are you going to eat it?
if you are not hungry are you going to eat ?
if your mom prepared you delicious lunch and you are not home, how can you eat it ?

did you get my point?
