That depends on how much you use and what the surfaces are.

It usually takes a couple hours to be completely dry. However, there is a quick-dry tacky glue out there by Allene's that dries in 35 minutes.

To completely dry, so the item glued can be used, would take several hours. To be safe, overnight is always best.

No longer than overnight.
(I did some gluing last night and left it. It was dry this morning.)
