What do the police do with confiscated money?

There was a 250 million dollar drug bust, and they were taping stacks of money to be taken away. I wonder what they do with it if the suspects are found guilty. Real answers please.

It gets turned over to the feds, and if the suspect is convicted, the money makes its way back into drug enforcment efforts, by purchasing equipment, training, and drug grants to local agencies.

turn it over to attorney general,then the state gets it and they distribute it to local politicians
