The guy has lifted practically all the wwe ultraheavyweights and slammed them. While not being the best technical wrestler around he more than makes up for his lack of skill by producing these close to superhuman feats of weightlifting and I have a lot of respect for him.I am not a fan though.

Cena is strong but he is also blessed to be able to work with some talented wrestlers too. His opponents make him look good plain and simple. Cena could not do those moves without the other guys cooperation. Watch next time Cena does a "superhuman feat of weightlifting" like a guy a few answers above me said the opponent simply jumps on Cena's back as Cena dips down to pick the other guy up. NOBODY can do the moves in the ring without the other guys help man.

Lets get this straight, Cena is strong and for me he's one of the strongest guys in the WWE at present. But when you compare him to some of the guys before and some present hes not overly impressive.

Some of the feats of strength Goldberg and Brock lesnar pulled off in their day were breath taking. I think people have been overly harsh in their analysis of Cena's strength though maybe that's because you hyped it up too much.

Oh, and the argument about how the opponent jumps on his back is ridiculous. All wrestlers get help from their opponents in that way so you can't discriminate on that when comparing against others. Seems to be a bunch of sheep just repeating the same rubbish instead of using their heads.

The move he uses- the FU, is essentially a lifting technique used by the fire rescue service, he spreads the weight over the shoulders which causes a balance and makes it possible to lift a much larger weight than a standard dead left (eg a bench press)

from there, the performer taking the move pushes off and sells via a flop to the floor.

The credit should really go to the big guys who manage to sell it so convincingly

No stronger than say Randy Orton or Jeff Hardy. That finisher of his the FU is a modified Firemans carry.Anybody can learn that & if you have first aid knowledge it's one of the first you learn. It can be taught like any wrestling move.It doesn't necessarily require great strength -just balance & timing.Like you i'm not a fan either.

Not really strong, the majority of power moves used on bigger superstars are always assisted. Heres a description of the move:

Fireman's carry takeover

The wrestler kneels down on one knee and simultaneously grabs hold of one the opponent's thighs with one arm and one of the opponent's arms with his other arm. He then pulls the opponent on his shoulders and then rises up slightly, using the motion to push the opponent off his shoulders, flipping him to the mat onto his back. This is usually used as a transition move.

John Cena uses a standing variation of this move as one of his F-U variations, where he stands up after lifting the opponent over his shoulders, and then flips them over and drops them down on their back while first tucking the opponents head into his abdomen. To make it look more "powerful" he lands on his knees. When used on heavy opponents, the user leans side ways to drop them with a little assist from them by leaning forward to drop themselves easier.

Cena first started training to become a wrestler in 2000 at the California-based "Ultimate University" operated by Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW). Once he was placed into an in-ring role, he began using a semi-robotic character known as the The Prototype. Some of this period of his career was documented in the Discovery Channel program Wrestling School.[23] While in UPW, Cena held the Heavyweight Championship for just shy of a month in April 2000. In 2001, the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) signed him away from UPW, placing him under a developmental contract and assigning him to their "farm territory" Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), where he continued his training. During his time there, he wrestled as both The Prototype and Mr. P, and he held the Heavyweight Championship for three months and the Tag Team Championships (with Rico Constantino) for two.

are you seriously asking if he is strong? cuz no he isnt, what he has done, many did before him

-Undertaker chokeslamed Khali last year in their last man standing match on SD! (before Cena even met Khali)

-Undertaker, Kane, Hogan and many more slamed Big Show years ago before Cena was even in the WWE...

- i havent seen Cena slam Mark Henry yet.... Kane, Undertaker, Goldberg are few names that already did that...

- Cena has never slamed Viscera... Kane, Undertaker and many others did...

and btw Cena is overrated.... and Cena sucks.....
