i have a female and male betta fish in the same tank with a divider. he made his bubble nest and she's kinda plump and has a whit spot under her tummy. and the male keeps flaring his gills out. i don't know if they are ready.

If you conditioned them already for at least 2 weeks, they should be ready to spawn

I'd wait a day or two and then mate them. The reason I would wait is just to make sure they are ready. The male seems excited and you seem knowagable enough to know the rest.

They are definetly ready.
The male has made his bubble nest, and the female has already formed her white spot.
you are good to go.
