The distance between D and its image is d then in 1 second
it becomes d-0.50 so the the image traveled 0.25 m/s and that is its rapidity (d) with respect to the mirror

I vote for C, as his speed to the mirror (and his image) is .25 m/s, no matter what speed the image is doing.
