For example, Is it ok if I meet a new attractive woman and tell her that all I want from her is her friendship with some sexual benifits on the side. Are these liberated women of America ready for this kind of honesty!

ALL WOMEN WANT HONESTY
(as long as it coincides with what they want to hear)

"If the truth doesn't set you free, then lie"

Women would not want that kind of honesty on the level you are wanting to give it. If you meet a women and you only want her for your sexual pleasure you better make sure before you say anything that that is all she is looking for. If she wants something more then that she may tell you thats fine and thats all she wants, but you will end up hurting her. Alot of women tell men they only want the friends with benifits thing cause they think that can change the way that man thinks.

My dear. You are confused. "Friendship with 'sexual benefits' on the side" IS a relationship.

Why do people have to make their relationships so complicated? A friendship with sex is a DAMN GOOD relationship and people search high and low to find someone they can share their time and relaxed moments and be sexual with as well.

Why do you assume that she wouldn't want you? Let's face it, what you've described is a coward's way of telling the world you are afraid of being rejected. If you were to take a chance with a "new attractive woman" and actually say you like them then that is way too scary for a lot of people. It is much easier to create "sub-categories" and place our relationships in safe little boxes.

So, just remember: If you're friends with them and you're having sex you are HAVING A RELATIONSHIP WITH THEM.

Remember that and you will go far in keeping your life uncomplicated and peaceful.

Jackal: The advice you gave is a good way for a man to be sporting a black eye not unlike the one a guy had after I decked him one. That is one of the most dishonest things you can do in your dealings with others - have sex with someone then be a child and say "I'm not looking for anything". Grow up! There are plenty of women who would welcome just sex but something tells me that you couldn't handle being with those women. They prefer honesty. Real sad, honey......Real sad.

Sure...tell her that so she can walk away and know not to mess with your sorry self! It seems like you think that telling that to a woman you just met would be 'bad' or something. I think most women would love knowing that right at the begining so that they can decide if they want to mess with you or not. Are you thinking they'd be thnking you are so incredible that they can't say no to you or something? That they'd get all mad at you or something? I'm sure if they just met you and you gave them your honesty, they'd laugh and not be hurt at all. The question is, are you ready to be honest with women so that they have full disclosure or are you too scared of rejection that you will lie?

Liberation does not equal free giving. I think most people misunderstand the liberation of female sexuality. Sexual liberation means that we free ourselves from norms, expectations and the pressure to please others, instead, we take charge of our own sexuality and choose according to our own wishes, not society.

Now, honesty would be beneficial to you if you don't like to waste your time. If friends with benefits is all you want, wouldn't it be in your own self interest to see if you're on the same page? Don't forget you can always be honest without being disrespectful.

EDIT: Or do you think you should be rewarded for your honesty and get what you want despite her having other wishes?

Why ask Us? Why not try being honest with the Women You are interested it and find out for Yourself? I for one believe that it is better to be truthful when entering into any relationship. But then again I am an old fashioned kind of bloke.

I'm one who greatly appreciates honesty. It cuts through crap and games and doesn't leave anything open for personal interpretation.

My recommendation to you is not to bring up the subject or suggest it first, but if/when she asks what you are looking for, honesty would be the best policy.

yes they want it
and we need to give it to them

only problem is if we do tell them the truth
you just don't know what will happen next

on the other hand if we lie and manipulate them
the outcome seems more predictable

i am not sure
i am going to play with honesty and see what happens

I was ready for it before it became mainstream. I totally support and respect honesty, but not everyone does.

It is best to tell her that before you get it on with her. Not many women will take you up on that offer, but I certainly would, providing I was attracted to you.

I'm sure most of us want honesty, but I'm also sure that most of us also don't want to be used for only sex. I havent met many women who like to be degraded like that..
