I don't think that it is a clumsy analysis, because it is a theory, based on the science that formed the conclusion. Women by nature, mentally create the sexual atmosphere, fantasy and imagination are more prominent in women because of this. Men are physical by nature, and simply need visual stimulation for arousal and minimal contact for full arousal. However that is SCIENCE~
Personally, I think that sex is an individual process and as Pavlov, it is all in what you train yourself into doing~for instance the multi~orgasmic woman, has to teach herself to be that way, it isn't by design. It is what we as individuals train our-self into believing, what we train our psyche into believing is reality of conscious nature.

I think a lot of it is psychological....
for some women it's the thrill of teasing men and knowing that they don't have to put out but it's an ego boost knowing we get the men hot and bothered and very hard.
for other women, they need to feel secure in the love department before being able to enjoy sex completely.

It's more physical than psychological for both genders I think.
Or let's say these measures change according to the mood and person you're doing it with.

For me ..and I'm a woman.....it's about 60/40. The psychological being the highest. I think that's why being in love and committed is such a turn on for me.

There have been lots of studies on that. I agree with the analysis, but there are always those that do not fall within the distribution.

For me its pretty much 100% psychological lately. Through my life it has depended on the partner and the relationship.

I think it depends on the person male or female. Stereotyping can never give you the right answers
