For some reason the mother gives me a creepy feeling, there is just something about her demeanor on television that I can't quite put my finger on, she doesn't seem to miss Maddie, she almost seems like she is hiding something, not really grieving or worried, like she knows where she is. I am a mother and I don't think I could keep my composure, if I didn't know where my daughter was, I would be shaking and endlessly crying, the worry would be on my face, I don't see that with Maddie's mom at all. I think personally the mother may have went a little to far and possibly.... accidentally killed her, and now they are trying to cover it up. Accidents happen, but most people would rather live with the guilt.....if there is any, than to fess up and take a chance on prison. I think this is what happened and the mother is living with a little guilt right now you can see it in her face, I think anyway.

Some are mentally ill--like Susan Smith and Andrea Yates. Some never wanted to be parents, but were too ignorant to use birth control and too scared and/or in serious denial to end a pregnancy. Not to mention the stigma against female sexuality in the U.S. Some get overwhelmed with the stress of parenting and don't want to be a parent anymore.
It's odd that only Madeline is missing and the twins are safe and sound, but as I don't know a whole lot about the case, I will refrain from commenting further.

What people are saying is that she died from an overdose of sedatives - that the McCanns sedated their kids so they could go out for a meal and accidentally gave her too much. What's ridiculous about that, thought, is that the McCanns are doctors and wouldn't have jobs if they overdosed their patients so it's highly unlikely they overdosed their daughter.

They may have killed her accidentally...or maybe one of them got upset and hit her a little too hard....maybe one of them has psychological problems and snapped due to the stress of her not going to sleep. I could go on but I don't really see the point. I'm not saying that they did it as I have no idea. It is possible for them to have a reason though. If it wasn't then why do children ever get murdered by their parents?
