Actually, its more to fight than kill, although they do kill. But the difference is when the opposing force surrender, you cannot kill them, rather, they becomes POW and there are laws protecting them.
The goal of war is to defeat your enemy defense and take control of their country. Killing is one way. There are other way such as propaganda and espionage and instigating an uprising among the local against their government.

YES! unfortunately Yes. it is to annihilate the enemy...the only way to truly stop a war....proof is WW1 and WW2.. even though innocents can be caught up in the crossfire, by swiftly destroying the enemy through bombing and total force u keep ur troops intact and casualties in the long run down to a minum..sorry to say this..but thousands of soldiers could hav been sparred on bought sides in Vietnam had the US not gone into the guerrilla type of fighting and had the Air Force thoroughly bomb up and down the lines....then send in the marines to mop up...u can win by giving aid to the enemy. sorry again for this ,but bad policies called US in Korea and not finishing marching in back in 91' Iraq would hav stopped the problems in Iraq today....just wish we didnt hav to do this. but the only way to deter evil is to crush evil.

Yep. But the significance of the war depends on who is fighting the battles. And one side can win a battle, but still not win the war.
As long as there is war on Earth, it signifies that we cannot coexist. And as long as this condition exists among us, it threatens our long-term survival here on Earth.
As long as war exists, our very existence on this planet always hangs in the balance.
Life 100 years from now, in 2107, will be very different from the way it is for you and yours now, just as life now is very different from your ancestors 100 years ago, in 1907.
What do you think it will be like?

Think about it this way, if we didn't fight and kill for our rights of freedom, how will the world turn out with terrorists to invade.

A soldier was killed in Nebraska on Monday and his newborn child was born............get this..... on Monday. How about we just keep letting people get killed and are showing nothing for it except the grief. So sad Americans try---or i should say the government-"tries" to save the world--I was taught to mind my own business. question............ WWJD?
