I doubt it.
Remember there are requirements to receive this money when they turn 18.
And Hillary wasn't the first to suggest this, Time magazine was.

Giving every child $5000 wouldn't add up to the TRILLIONS Bush has squandered on an unconstitutional, illegal, unjustifiable, immoral 'war' all so that a handful of wealthy elitists, industrialists and power brokers can become wealthier and more powerful.
Hillary's idea is 'raw' - there needs to be some restrictions:
a) The child must be born of a union between two U.S. citizens;
b) The child's family must have a household income not to exceed the median income of the country;
c) The money must not be available to the child until its 25th birthday, except for education purposes or medical emergencies;
d) Banks must not be allowed to write - or tamper with - the regulations so that they generate more profit for their shareholders;
e) No future administration or Congress could re-write the rules to the advantage of commercial interests. -RKO- 09/30/07

Its like a number of their regulations, the expenses are daunting for the federal funds. This one became ordinary to coach to be a funds buster in simple terms multiplying the kind of births interior the U. S.. regrettably issues like wellbeing care are extra durable to place a determine on yet once you seem on the early expenses for Social secure practices, Medicare, and Medicaid they have been nicely understated. With Social secure practices maximum did no longer see our existence span as going up so rapidly putting a drain on the equipment. interior the beginning up there have been approximately 40 4 workers for each a million recipient, now its approximately 3 workers for each recipient and the infant boomers in simple terms grew to strengthen into eligible - yeah which would be a topic and the equipment will pass bankrupt if no longer something is carried out to heavily handle SS.

It is called vote buying, pie in the sky. she complains about the deficit, but then proposes 2 programs that together will cost $130 billion a year. No mention of how she will pay for all of this. Mr. Knowitall equates this to social security? Not a fair comparison. The money in FICA is what I worked for, why shouldn't I get part back to invest. I trust myself with my own money, not the government.

This has to be one of the most brainless ideas ever to come out of a politicion! For the most part on a question asked the other day about her plan people were actually for it! It will bring people from all over the world!

You have to keep in mind, that this is the woman who complains about the deficit, but then wants to shell out money to children, many of whom won't need the money, and to every citizen for health care, many of whom will die as a result on the waiting list. She will run us straight into another depression!

President Bush wanted to give every American worker 1/6 of his FICA contributions back to invest in a private account. Yet he never even attempted to explain how we would make up the shortfall in the Social Security system. Just how exactly is Hillary's idea worse?

You obviously know nothing about Latin America or their economies (I assume you are referring to countries beyond Mexico). You're also assuming that there wouldn't be a provision that states that only people born in the US or here legally would be eligible for the 5 grand.
