Your idea that terrorist have not been able to attack us here, because we are fighting them there, is a false assumption that only idiots make. There have been several terrorist attacks thwarted here since we have been fighting in Iraq, by old-school law enforcement tactics. Also, for that theory to hold true, there would have to be no terorrist attacks anywhere else except the middle east since we have been in Iraq....simply not reality. sorry but your are living in a dream world.

Definitely. Except for the fact that 100 servicemen a week are dying and more maimed and injured that has definitely kept us the most safe.
The rest its hard to say they keep the information clouded in secrecy.... I have to admit it's nice when they tell us about all the plots that they have foiled that makes me feel much better about giving up my constitutional rights.

It is obviously a bunch of all of those. Those in prison at Gitmo would likely be planning attacks on us now if not in prison there and the extreme of the extremist are housed there - hopefully permanently - I don't want to a democrat in the white house but I wonder if they'd let them go - that'd be sad.
Lets give credit to US law enforcement. We know they have thrwarted several attacks on us in the last 3 years. Thank you!
