During my down time (after hours) and on my days off or in between jobs I have to p/u & d/o his laundry. purchase and cash in his instant lottery tickets. p/u and deliver his food. so on and so on (lottery tickets in excess of $1,000 a week. If I do not do it in a timely fashion or complain he makes me miserable at work and gives me all the garbage jobs to punish me. I know I can always quit and get another job but I need the money and I like my real job minus the slave stuff. Is there legal action I can take because I am now being punished for taking to long to cash in $1,800 in lottery tickets and would like to sue if possible. I can't go over his head because he is protected by the owner.

you can either tell him directly how you really felt being exploited for the thing he asked you to do out of your job scope in a very diplomatic way, or take it positively and over come bad with good. Remember, Your Attitude determines your Altitude. Although It sound easier said then done, but unless you are willing to switch your job, otherwise you just got to take it as part and parcel of working life. Pursuit a sue is not a brilliant idea as it's time consuming and the end result it's not pleasant too. You can also speak to your higher authority about it before exercising your rights. If the directors choose to ignore your dilemma, then no point working in a place where you can't find satisfation and mutual respect you deserve.

honestly , i think that you can sue but will probably not win. it will cost you time, money and stress. he will lie / can afford more lawyers than you can ? job descriptions / being punished / garbage jobs are difficult to prove. if the person pays the salary they can basically assign you any tasks that they want in a small company. in a larger company you would have a chance of winning because personal stuff might be viewed as a theft of your time which belongs to the shareholders. if you reported it to someone on the board / you might have a chance . but then you are also sort of branded a whistle blower rather than someone with ethics.

your best bet is find a new job and take your skill set to some where else. perfect your resume. quietly begin looking for jobs. interview before and after work. when you get an oppty just go. give a proper 2 week notice and forget this person. this sounds like a dead end job / you need a job with a career path / challenges and rewards.

I actual do no longer bear in mind seeing all of us extremely trashing PJ's or CCT's at right here. nonetheless i'm no longer at right here time-honored. maximum folk exterior of the militia are not too familiar with the backgrounds of each branch's Spec Ops courses so as that they make their own assumptions and there won't be something we are able to do approximately it because of the fact no longer all of us cares to understand the transformations. despite the fact that that is no longer the ingredient to an operator to make his container greater time-honored to the international. If people choose for to stay at a loss for words or blind to what somewhat is then enable them to. maximum folk do no longer understand how stable of a function SOCOM and JSOC play to the protection people electorate yet back there's no longer something we are able to do approximately it and that is optimal to maintain it that way. The greater recognitions are made the greater the international gets a seem interior the communities and preparation. that is no longer basically American media that gets to computer screen and teach it to the common public. Like Discovery Channel's documentary on DEVGRU. all the yank people ought to understand is they exist and have been given Bin encumbered, yet they do no longer ought to understand plenty else previous that. And to be easy i might incredibly no person even understand that despite the fact that it grew to become into unavoidable. stable success at uncomplicated

unfortunately if you are on salary he pretty much can do what he wants, I don't believe litigation will help especially if this has been going on for a long time. If it has and you haven't complained before i doubt you would find an attorney that would help you. However if you are salaried not hourly, you may entitled to all the overtime for running his errands after 40 hrs, if you are on salary do you supervise 2 or more employees?, can you hire and fire?. That would be your case and most attorneys would accept it

You must decide if you like the job (and your oafish boss) or hate it. Then you either put up with it or take your complaint to the Labor Board (I am assuming you are not salaried and therefore not being paid for the errands you do on your off days and hours).

Think about all the unemployed who would love the opportunity to get your job....
You need to start thinking more positive... or else find another job you will like or stop complaining.... .. focus instead to the positive... what is there you like?
It could be worse. right?
Another point... remember... to get that dream job... means you need good references...causing **** with your boss will be a signal to your next potential employee.

Get positive and the whole world will look different...

Cheers!

your boss is taking advantage of you and if you stand up for yourself and tell him it is not in your job description to be
his personal assistant, they would either respect you or fire
you, it is 50/50. I'd suggest a 500.00 a week pay raise
or start looking for another job. Consult with a Labor Law
Attorney about suing, not sure if you can.

You are being misused and you know it. Either quit and take your experience with you, confront him and quit, or takes notes, times, pictures and confront HIS boss and quit. Paper trails are what people want to see. Complaining doesn't help anyone but you, for the time being anyway.

Get the heck out of there. And keep your dignity.

If you are being made to work without pay, you have a legal case against them. Gather evidence and confront them and if they don't stop, take it to a lawyer. You could get a large sum and they could be in serious criminal legal trouble. If your being paid to do these things and just don't want to, quit.

In the US, there is not much you can do if your boss is a jerk.

You may want to look for other positions in your company, or else where.
