Get involved in a local theater group- look into dinner theater as well, and look at your area to see if there are any independent directors making movies that may need your skills. I would advise getting a 'Headshot' done so you have something to give directors and casting people, and as you get more roles keep track of them to have a performing resume as well. No role is too small, and no paycheck is either when you get started. You may be doing a LOT for free at first, but keep at it! If you have a Drama class, ask your teacher for advice as well. Good Luck!- or 'Break a Leg'

not much wrong with the previous answer, except it is disorganized an not based in experience. OK here is the real dope: 1. get your parents to agree that you should try to get into acting (you can't do anything professionally without them until you are 18) 2. get into all the school plays, 3. get a mentor 4. get into professional classes, 5.learn to audition and intereview. 6. keep acting 7. get your resume and head shot 8. look for an agent. That is what you need to do. It will take a few years. The lessons, a couple of books, and photos and printing may cost a few bucks.. But that's how you do it. For more info, read my profile and write me at my aol address, I mentor for free.
