I wouldn't doubt it at all. It's getting ridiculous around here lately.

And to answer your question, I'll take a HUG !

Well, c'mon... it's not a legitimate question that people can provide an answer to... it's not a poll or survey. You have to be able to at least understand the community guidelines well enough to know that that question doesn't follow the "question and answer format", and it solicits something from the users, which is also against the Community Guidelines.

Don't take this to mean I report people, but I just don't understand what's so difficult to understand about the rules and how they work.

UPDATE: People can't give you a hug over the computer, so for all intents and purposes, the question was not legitimate. Ask a question when you want to know something, you want an opinion, or if you're looking for various examples of something (a survey).

Asking for a hug or handshake, again, is simply a solicitation.

It won't do you any good to complain by posting a question about it. You should set some time aside to go over the community guidelines and click on the links where it says "read more". Then you won't wonder "why?" next time. Am I wrong?

You need to read the guidelines. It says they do not want this to be a message board. That we are to answer questions, get to the point quickly. No conversations.

I am okay with this because there are thousand of websites floating around to have fun on.

I like having a place were I can ask a question and get a decent answer. So I'm okay with the Yahoo! guidelines.

By the way, so you will know I got a thumbs down too. Over on the vegetarian Answers.

They consider that too "chatlike." The only violation notice I received was for being too friendly and "chatlike." What a bunch of crud.
