I was a big fan of American Coorp. and Wall Mart was one of my favourites in Sam Walton days. But these days they are dumping so much chinese goods into America and loss of American Jobs all in the name of some discounts. And there customer service has also gone down. The old saying "Customer is the king have long gone past".
Do u think Wall Mart is on the decline???

I guess they are looking to target folks who need assistance, due to the lack of insurance coverage. They are going to have to keep something going on to bring people in to the stores. More and more are becoming disenchanted with Wal-mart. I know they really shot themselves in the foot, when the decision was made to eliminate the fabric and crafts department.

I don't like alot of things about Wal-Mart, but the $4 prescription thing is a marketing tactic, designed to get more customers into the store. They are actually making a tremendous impact in some of the senior citizens lives, like my grandmother, who do not have prescription health insurance in this instance.

We in pharmacy do not like the idea of using prescription medications as loss leaders. The true cost of just filling a prescription minus the drugs is close to $10. It puts pressures on other pharmacies. When profit margin is about 2%, most pharmacies cannot afford to compete.

i personally think the customer service isn't that bad, i've gotten good help from them many times. as for the chinese thing, the stuff from china is mostly just knick-knacky crap, it's not food and stuff.
