My E-machine Desktop PC has just stopped working. I know for sure it's the station as I have tried another power suppy. It was working fine until I one morning it woulldnt start! Could anyone tell me if I can do anything inside etc?

well if you have tried another power supply then my bet would be the motherboard, if so you are looking at alot of money to replace unless you have any insurance on you computer.

look for a jumper next to the battery on the motherboard. it should be 3 pins total and 2 are covered a by a plastic jumper. take iit of put on the other 2 for 3 sec, then put it back on the originals. try to start it up. if no power up, then the board is dead.

If you find your motherboard is indeed 'dead', I suggest Newegg.com for Motherboard/processor combos. Coupla' hundred bucks can put you back in the drivers seat. If your finances can' handle that, try Weirdstuff,com,(computer parts store), for cheap, mediocre motherboards/processors, etc.

Well, if the power supply is good. is the on switch good? if so then it might be a motherboard

we have gone through a few emachines here, once they wont start its the death noll..get a new one.
