wait till 3 comes out?

i would get one now and one later, the controller will probably be cheaper now so i would buy the controller now and either get the game with it or just wait
the other guitar hero games are alot harder than gh2 so if you need practice you might want to get gh2 before getting anything else

It depends on the system. If you have a Playstation 2, then I would wait for Guitar Hero 3 to come out, but if you really want to play it, then get Guitar Hero 3. I personally would wait because Guitar Hero 3 will have everything that Guitar Hero 2 has, just different songs and bonuses. And it will then supply better graphics, better modes, and actual online play for any system.

Just wait until the third one comes out. It has much more songs and better graphics and effects. Plus the guitar controller is more awesome looking. I made the mistake of buying Guitar Hero 2 when the third one is about to come out and in hopes that no one else makes that mistake

well... it's really up to you... If you never played guitar hero before than I suggest that you get 2 and than wait for 3 to come and get that game as well. 2 is alot easier than rock the 80's and the 1st game in my oppinion, so I think that playing the second game will be a good way of starting. Believe me though, the game is still hard for newbies, but if you play alot, you will get better...

Wait man wait till 3, two was good I admit but if you got a 360/Ps3 wait till the nxt 1
If you only got a "Current Gen Console" (Aka ps2) and your on a tight budget get guitar Hero 2 but if not get 3

I have guitar hero 2 and its amazing its so fun. The songs that you would mostly know would probably be "You Really Got Me" by Van Halen, "Sweet Child O' Mine" by Guns N' Roses, "Crazy on You" by Heart, "War Pigs" by Black Sabbath, and "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Also "Monkey Wrench" by Foo Fighters.
But Guitar hero III has "I Wanna Rock" by Twisted Sister, "I Ran (So Far Away)" by A Flock of Seagulls, "Round and Round" by Ratt, "Metal Health" by Quiet Riot, "Holy Diver" by Dio, "Heat of the Moment" by Asia and "Nothin' But a Good Time" by Poison.
But overall i would say guitar hero II.
