I have to write a college essay for english class( I'm a senior in high school). I have the beginning paragraph but have no idea where to go from here. Can you please read it and tell me what to do and whether you like it.

Puzzles are mysterious games. Just when you think you may have the perfect piece, it doesn't quite fit. Every piece of a puzzle is important and necessary. When piecing them together, everything seems unclear and confusing at first. Then it starts to come together. For me, college is like that missing puzzle piece that demystifies the final image...

Describe three things, ideas, events, etc that were mysterious to you that no longer are. Describe how school, a class or a teacher gave you the education and the ability to recognize that these things are no longer mysterious.

In your summary, describe how these three things relate to the puzzle, or the whole of your life.

Sorry, it's your experience, so you've got to come up with the examples.

I like it.

Talk about why college will demystify that final image. Why?

I would say because college is the culmination of all these years spent in school, all these good grades, etc. Talk about what it took to bring you to this point. College is where it pulls together (like a puzzle), and you get to really see what all the hard work was for. You put into action all these things you have built upon, all these various subjects (like puzzle pieces) that seemed random at first.

And now it all fits.

Think about what got you to this point and talk about it. Be sure to stick with the metaphor, and carry it through your paper.
