What is the weather right before a tornado? I mean, is it true that it gets all quiet and then the wind begins picking up? Can someone describe it very detailed? I need to know, please help me!

The weather feels and smells damp, the sky will start to look green and the clouds will seem really low. As the storm gets closer, the wind will start to pick up and it will start to rain. Be sure to take shelter and have important info with you in the lowest part of your home. if the sirens go off. I have lived in Kansas and Nebraska and have seen tornadoes they are neat to watch if they are really far away. Just be sure to take cover. It is scary.

It does get quiet, so quiet you can hear a pin drop on concrete if there is one, the sky turn an ugly green color, birds are no where to be seen, the animals get restless. There is no rain.
