Want to really learn quantum mechanics? Get a 4 year college degree or higher in physics. If you are really into it, then take alot of electives in nuclear, atomic, and solid state physics, since those are more important applications of quantum mechanics.

I am not sure if it can tell you what we exist. It is kind of like Newtons law of motion for atomic and subatomic particles. However, instead examining the motion of the object itself, you are studying it's wave motion. Because of this interpetation, it descibes moition in terms of the probability of an object being in a certain position or state. In fact, if you look at the theory from a linear algebra point of view, you will determine that the theory is natuarlly limited (Heisnberg Uncertainty Princple).

Because of these concepts, quantum mechanics is a little unsettling and at times hard to develope an intution. Regardless, it had proven in experiment time and time again so we still use it.

The questions: why we exist and what is the nature of quantum mechanics (QM) are both independently interesting. But QM was not invented to answer the question of our existence. Whether ultimately QM would give answer to this question or not no one can say at present.
