It depends if it's natural or smothered in butter. And actually I just read an article in a magazine about how microwave popcorn can be dangerous and unhealthy - (it's not so much the popcorn itself), but many conventional microwave popcorns use diacetyl, an additive, to simulate real butter. The vapors from diacetyl have been connected to a medical syndrome called Popcorn Lung.

If it has no butter or salt in it then it's healthy. Some popcorn boxes have those kinds.

ever heard of popcorn lung? I hear it's fatal. The fumes from the flavoring that they use. It was just in the news a while back.

I always thought it was, but my brother-in-law's colon doctor told him it was like eating ground glass. I still find this hard to believe. I mean, I know as roughage goes it's pretty rough, but ground glass????
