If im working in a bussiness or in a Bank or IT company maybe i would. But for personal use am i dont think so :) For simple reason that it isnt practical. New Computers are so damn attractive and awesome but then if for computing and gamings stuff only a pentium 4 will do with a large memory installed in it will do. Improvement in some parts of hardware are so damn good but whats the use of having such a computer if you cant use its maximum capacity and capabilities. For example in internet yes you have a good computer but your connection is low. It doesnt change a thing to make your internet faster. :)

Overall it sounds like a pretty good setup, but I would opt out of the Speakers, Headset, and Monitor if it's possible.

My reasoning is that you can most likely find much better audio and display equipment if you just shop a bit.

As an example. Can you eliminate the monitor and reduce the price by $200 or so. The 22" monitors are all over the place out there for about $200 - $225.

I just purchased a 24" monitor for $359 that has the following: 2ms response time; 1920 X 1200 resolution; 4000:1 contrast ratio; VGA or DVI hookup; will hook up to HD TV, X-Box, etc., etc. etc.

Also on the speakers, I think you can find a good surround sound system for about $100 for your PC or even a better 3 speaker system than what usually comes with a PC "package" Same with the headset. They are a dime a dozen these days and you can get them real reasonable.

Don't get hung up on how many things they list in the "package" that you will get. Concentrate on the basic tower and make sure the price is right for what you will receive. You should be able to save enough from that $1800 price tag to buy yourself a great monitor, speakers, headset, etc. also.

I use http://www.tigerdirect.com and http://www.pricewatch.com to do a lot of my research and buying.

Hope this all helps.

i'd recommend piecing together your own "awesome" PC. Buying these "awesome" machines as is, is almost always more pricey to do so.

I purchased a relatively good computer upgraded RAM, Video Card, and purchased a 19 inch flat screen. I can play any game on the market with my PC and i did it with much less than $1800. But its your money, do as you please. :-)
