My husband is a tea drinker and I enjoy coffee. Over time both drinks have produced stains in our favorite cups, even with thorough washing after use.

Has anyone found a way to get rid of these brownish stains that really works?

Denture cleaning tablets work great!! Just put one in the cup and fill it with water and let it fizzle for a while. The stains will disappear! I buy mine at the 99 Cent store, so they're really inexpensive. They also work for cleaning the toilet! good luck...

To get coffee stains and other discolorations off china dishes and teacups, try scrubbing them with equal parts vinegar and salt, followed by rinsing them under warm water

Remove coffee and tea stains from china

coffee and/or tea stains on your good china . Remove them by dip-ping a moist cloth in baking soda to form a stiff paste and gently rubbing your cups and saucers. Rinse clean and dry
Good Luck !

Try baking soda, on a wet cloth. If that doesn't work, drop a denture cleaning tablet in the cups, and let them sit for awhile, then wash as usual.

If you don't want to go out and buy a special cleaner just for the cups, then do what I do: I just make a thick paste of Comet and water, put it in the cup with a textured rag, and wash it. Simple as that. It works great for me.
Good luck.

Fill cups with warm soapy water. Add a few drops of bleach and let them soak for a while. Rinse. If they are plastic of some kind, put one teaspoon of salt in warm water to take away any odor from bleach.

I have the same problem and I just fill the cup almost to the top, put in a little liquid bleach and let it sit for awhile. Works great for me.

I use bleach and water and let them soak. I also sometimes use a soft-scrub cleanser and wash them out, it usually gets them spotless.
