Would wish a happy life for her without me in it. Ideal True love is to see the other always happy without a tinge of selfishness.

My true love is my husband......he is my soulmate and my best friend. If I lost him I don't think I would ever remarry.
This was a third marriage for both of us (the third time WAS a charm) and we both found what we were truly looking for.....and I know I would never find that again and really wouldn't even be looking. I would just prefer to live by myself with the memory of him and the wonderful life and love we had together. I would feel somehow unfaithful to him if I remarried or had another relationship and I just couldn't do it....I love him that much.

I have! and coping with life without her has given me a vision of hell. I do not recommend the stiff upper lip approach. I tried that and it didn't work for me. I really don't have an answer that could be of value to anyone in a similar situation. I just go from one day to another and hope that tomorrow will be better.

Well if he died I would want to myself. But if he walked away I might be sad but try to pick up the pieces and go one with my life.
