I have my first appointment but i'm supposed to be on my period

If you are having a heavy flow, they will be unable to complete the exam. If the flow is light, it may still possible to have it, including the PAP test. Check with the office and determine the gynecologist's opinion.

You can goes to the Gynecologist and have exam. If you are on period. Depend on how much your flow are you getting? If I were you to wait after your period over and then goes to the Gynecologist. You can re-schedule, if you want to?

I of course, felt a little uncomfortable, but I had to get over it, because that was when the Gyno. wanted me to come in because I was complaining about the flow of the period, and he wanted to see for himself.

I believe that they will want you to reschedule. Call the doctor's office and ask them.
