White smoke is water vapour.
Blue smoke is oil.
If the water is going down in the radiator you have a hole in your head gasket. Or if not it could be more serious.I wont even start to tell you what could be wrong there because most other things mean a new engine.
Head gasket is most likely.

It appears that oil ring, also known as scrapper ring in one of the pistons has worn out. You should check the oil level (lubrication oil) almost daily before starting the engine and if there is not much reduction, you need not worry and carry on. In case, there is a noticeable consumption of oil,you will have to take it to mechanic for getting the rings changed.

white smoke is bad. you probably have a blown head gasket...either way you need to get it to a shop. No additive will stop it!

could be a blown head gasket, but if you are lucky it could simply be a buildup of water condensation sitting in your exhaust system.

You probably need a new set of rings, if you have over 100K miles or more.
