I just wondered if women really believe that all men are the same. They are all dogs. Also, the old saying once a cheater, always a cheater. I just wanted to see what people think.

I just want to add that I don't believe this...It actually irritates me when people say this kind of stuff.

i'm with you... I suspect that hose who think all men are dogs have simply been hurt too much or don't take the time to know them, to understand that they are different, or give them the chance they would want for themselves.
As far as "Once a cheater...". What bull!! People change every day. I believe in people, have studied human nature and certainly have lived long enough to know this just isn't true.
I think the reason for cheating is what makes the difference for those who do change. If the relationship is in the toilet, the person is simply lonely, unhappy, willing to cross that line - well, if all else remains, then yeah, I guess it's likely that they will continue to cheat.
But I simply know too many people that have made a mistake, see it that way and take responsibility for it. Too many who have rededicated themselves to their marriage, or choosing more wisely the next time around, never cheat again. I agree that there are some, some who play it like a game, think it's both fun and funny and will never stop. But these people are pretty much a train wreck in all that they do.
Cheating is no different than anythings else, so if one can quit smoking, drinking, and nail biting - they can quit cheating to. The situation has to change, they have to change, but I know it can be and has been done countless times.
People give up on each other too quickly. The advice to the jilted partner almost always being "Dump Him!" (or her), when there is actually quite an opportunity there to build an even stronger relationship as long as everyone works hard and is committed to it. I know I've made some big changes in my life and wouldn't want to be told that I can't change.
I adore (most) men. Yeah, there are dogs and there are cheaters, but no more than can be found among females.

No not all men are the same.....just as all women aren't the same because PEOPLE aren't the same. Yes some men can be dogs but I believe there are more good men in this world. I don't believe that once a cheater, always a cheater either. Sometimes people actually do learn a lesson when they "screw" up. Everyone deserves a second chance but no more.

No i do not agree with all men are the same and no i don't think all are dogs. Yes i do believe once a cheater always a cheater. Now if you talked to my sister that would be a different story, she has always thought all men are dogs and that is probably why she never married and she is in her late 40's.

Not all men are dogs and certainly not all women are bad either, if you get into relationship with that mind set it is bound to fail for sure,i certainly do not believe that once a cheater always a cheater ( not refering to people who just cheat for the fun of it)especially one who makes a mistake and gets to the bottom of why they did it and resolve to turn it around you can make your life what you want to anyone can change for the better. A lot of times cheating as wrong as it is is a sign of unhappiness and bad state of a relationship and immaturity on the part of the cheater; people just need to learn not to quit too easily and work with each other as one instead of going elsewhere.cheers

I use to think the samething. Men are all jerks. But deep down I know that is not true. I just made bad choices. Now I am very careful on whom I want to get close with. Don't get your hopes up too high at first. Take it slow and have in your heart with no expectations. There are good men out there just like women. It goes both ways.
But if he is cheating then yes once a cheater always a cheater.

I don't believe once a cheater always a cheater. I believe there are 2 kinds or cheaters, the one who's going through a crisis, he feels ashamed, feels remorse and will never fall into that trap again and there is the deviant cheater, the one with no morals who does it just cause he can.

No, not at all. All women are not all the same so men are not all the same. I don't believe that all men are dogs. I've met some dog-ish men over the years but I know some really great guys too. I
I'm not sure about the cheating thing. I've never experinced that first hand, but a guy friend of mine is a serial player. He's a great friend and we love hanging around with him, but I would never set him up with any of my girl friends because he is never faithful. However, I do have guy friends who are always faithful and have been cheated on by some really mean women.
My fiancee is a great guy though. He would never cheat and I'm so lucky to have him.

Absolutely not. All men are definitely not the same. There are some fabulous men out there and I definitely have one.
Once a cheater, always a cheater is definitely true if he is cheating on a woman that he doesn't love. If he loves her, he would have no reason to cheat.
