Let me see if I understand this. You bought a computer that has 128MB's of ram. You purchased 256MB's of ram to install, and lost one 'stick'? So you put 128MB's of ram in with the other 128MB stick installed, and now your computer only shows that you have 128MB's as you did originally. Do you know if your motherboard has the capability of handling more than 128MB' of ram? Is this ram compatible with your motherboard,(for example: ram timings, ECC/Non-ECC, voltage, chip setup,Mhz speed)? You can go to Crucial.com, and download for free their Crucial System Scanner, and compare the info with the 'stick's' of ram,(or stick now), that you bought. Tip: On the older setup's you can go down one step in MHz speed. For example: You can use 100MHz ram in a 66MHz FSB machine, 133MHz in a 100MHz machine. You might have to delete the software for your camera, and unplug your webcam. Reinstall software, then plug camera back in, HOWEVER, does your computers system specifications, meet the minimum requirements for the webcam?

could be that the 64 meg you put in doesnt work.

you cant turn memory on nor should you need any software to make it work.

If the ram is the correct type and is fitted correctly. all you should need to do is fit it and it should work automatically unless theres a fault with it.

Depending on how old the computer is memory has to be in pairs. The pair has to match so since you have one 64 and one 128 they don't match and won't work.
