valve (GE WR57X10051)on this . The water is working on the door dispenser now. I replaced the ice maker on this with the General Electric WR30X10061 ice maker on this unit which is the current model that is supposed to work on this refrigerator. The ice maker still does not work.The refrigerator a n freezer work fine. I just do not have the ice maker working now on the refrigerator. I am seeking input on this puzzle if someone could tell me what I have not done to make it work just like it used too.

Check for an ice plug in the water tubing where it enters the freezer or ice maker. That happened to mine. Drove me nuts for a while.

This may sound too simple, but did you maybe lift the shutoff bar to its locked height? If you did you turned off the ice maker. Inside the freezer above the collection bin there is a small bar that tells the ice maker when it is full. If it gets lifted all the way to the top it locks into place and , no ice. just push it down and the water will start to cycle again to make ice.
If not then the problem will be in the water supply line into the ice maker. Could be a broken fill valve, or a stopped water line.

First make sure the metal above the ice bin is in the down position, second make sure the control for ice is on. With a small mirror look in the back of the ice maker for an unplugged harness. If it still isn't working, you have two choices, call a repair shop, or fix it yourself. I would guess the harness was at fault. Surely, you would have checked the other 2 things. OK , now that you want to take it apart, unplug the electrical and
