No, I mean what type of reaction is is when a solution and a gas react to form a solution?

(In the way that (aq) + (aq) = (s) must be a precipitation reaction.)

I think by "aq" and "g" you mean the states of the substances.
If a gas reacts with an aqueous solution to give an aqueous solution, you can naively refer to it as dissolution. However there are many things which could have occurred. For example, the solution may have been hydrochloric acid and the gas, ammonia. Then it's an acid-base reaction. Maybe the solution was hydrogen peroxide and the gas was sulfur dioxide, in which case it's a redox reaction. And so on.

This is disolving, or you could fancy a reaction called hydration of the gas.
