I have an idea for a science fiction storyline.
A race of beings live on a rock that is moving at 50,000 miles an hour and it is tied to a huge ball of fire by an invisible string.
They spend 1/3 of their lives in a coma during which they have wild halucinations, then they suffer from amnesia regarding most or all of these halucinations.
Do you think that this is to far fetched to be believable?

TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO GAVE ANSWERS.
I cannot believe that no-one has twigged this!
Race of beings = humans. Rock= The Planet Earth. Huge ball of fire = The Sun. Invisble string = earth's orbit around the sun. Coma = dreams. Wild halucinations =dreams. Amnesia= most dreams cannot be remembered.
Still unbelievable????

Do you think Virus is an invisible being that just uses animals on earth as hosts while moving on a rock tied to a fire ball While having these dormant periods with the wild Hallucinations?

I'm not sure I'd believe it, and it sounds more like a fantasy tale than science fiction (which always has a touch of science fact about it).

But well done you for the imaginative storyline. If you have an imagination like that I'm sure we'll see your name in print one day.

Never, what ever you think about it does exist. Dreams are real in the world of fiction and are fake in the world of reality.
It is all about our percepyion to the meaning of reality.
there are still people think about Sinbad and his mat. Nowadays, people says what is next after black gold(oil) age, is Sinbad going to come to us in his real character

Sorry, but You spoilt it for me, printing the answers (as it were).

They were as clearly out there and upstanding as the proverbial Pike Staff.

Nobody twigged it? I can't believe that, I saw it straight away and I'm not too bright.

It's science fiction. It isn't suppose to be believable. Go with it and keep us updated.
