you mean...there are some religious nuts saying that witchcraft is a sin?
In life, you can't please everyone.
Some people are insane: and that's just the way it is. Hopefully they will change.
Are you going to be the one to change them?

I am a christian, and I do not have anything against Harry Potter, as I am a huge fan of the series. But some of our fellows are afraid it will attract young people to witchcraft. Most of the protesting was done in the time of the early books, when not much was known about the Harry Potter series. The protesting is still there, but in much less quantities. And also; people will not stop reading the bible because of a fictional book! If that non-sense was true, then no one would read the bible! Harry Potter is not the only fictional book that Christians have protested.

Them you are either not paying enough attention, or are simply more forgiving.
There are many small errors and changes right from the first film. Personally I'm a bit of a purist and I had pointless changes. As the Harry Potter movies have progressed, they've been more and more different than the books. I can't even watch the most recent one. But I wasn't really happy with the Lord of the Rings movies either, same problem, too many changes for no discernible reason.

I guess it is because a lot of people don't like witchcraft or magic. And some people don't have a very imaginative mind enough to enjoy Harry Potter series.
But some people do like the film and not the books,or the other way. They probably like the movie because it is either that they'd rather see what is happening or they can't read.
Some people like the books better because it gives more detail than the movie.I prefer the book to the movie.
Or some people don't even know who Harry Potter is !

Fans who loved the books are actually more critical of the movie adaptations chiefly because of storyline changes, character and scene exclusions and sometimes actors who bastardize one of the books' beloved characters. I for one began "not liking the movies much" after Prisoner of Azkaban because of the way Sir Michael Gambon portrayed Dumbledore. I really don't mind the other changes as I understand it's hard to incorporate the entire book into films and I have yet to see a movie adaptation that was entirely true to the book. It's the character portrayal I can't stand when one diverts so much from what the book depicts.
Most readers have loved the books so much that they await eagerly for the movies expecting their imagined favorite scenes and of course they get disappointed when those scenes are deleted.
My whole family still watch all the HP movies, though, for my kids' sake. They help them visualize the books better.

They have a problem because they can, some people just like taking a different stance. You'll never get everyone to agree on anything, that's what makes us human, our individualism. Personally I think they are great fun, both the books and films, if only I'd come up with the idea!!

working in a school a very relgious family said the books were banned to her children as they were written by the devil, the little boy said this aswell,I suppose it is witchcraft but then Harry Potter has definate good and evil and shows always a triumph of goood over evil, my sister refuses to read them on the grounds she can be one of the small number of people not to know anything about them, strange, I personally think they are brilliant and went at midnight the last 3 book releases whats wrong with inspiring children to read,

I read one and didn't enjoy it - for me it was distinctly over-rated, not particularly well written, and seemed rather derivative - and quidditch makes no sense as a sport. His Dark Materials is infinitely more enjoyable and imaginative (but I wouldn't think devout Christians would like it any more than HP)
However, I'm all for any book that gets kids reading. I re-read several recently to my daughter (including the Roald Dahls which I loved at about 10), and the only one I felt really had anything to offer the adult reader was Winnie The Pooh.

Here's my problem with Harry Potter:
He acts like a girl!
This isn't just my opinion. My ex-girlfriend (and her mother, by the way), along with a host of other people agree that his thoughts and decisions those of a teenage girl, not a teenage boy.
This is what happens when a writer is inexperienced at creating and driving characters of the opposite gender. They resort either to stereotypes or their own perceptions of how the characters "should" behave. This isn't to say that a female author can't write male characters or vice versa; just that it's not always a sure bet, either.
I prefer the movies, actually, because of the sheer number of Men and Boys who can and have "corrected" any number of Harry's actions and dialogue so that he's more masculine.

Well every coin has two sides. Some don;t like children's book and movies like as harry potter books are read by all generation but in clear sense its an kids story. Also the magic and also the three main stars of the movie Daniel Radcliffe,Emma Watson and Rupert gr int can also be reason why people don't like this movie.I like the movie and also it's books, but in the latest movie the kissing is really very very bad. They know this movie is watch and release in all country. We want which is full of comedy, suspense and some love too,but plz no such scenes as in this century most of Hollywood movies have this scenes people want to see a movie especially me and in our country that can be seen with family. This kind of things create an negative impacts on kids, especially the teens. It must be an small thing for you but it makes lots of difference for people who don't like such things. Also everybody has right to express what they feel about the movie and it's book as they are also paying for it. And its movie tickets and book rates are really very, very expensive for common man.You know the rates of it's movies and books are money that people earn in one day.
