Dried it out now the phone turns on and seems to be fine,But!who ever you call they can not hear you .And the
battery gets real hot on the back cast. should i dump it?

Yep, the phone is ruined and will only get worse. My niece dropped hers in the pool for a few minutes. She turned it off overnight, until it appeared to be all dried out. it worked very well for a few days after that, and then capoot, things just went down hill from that. You need to start shopping for a new phone.

I suggest that you leave it alone for some time (an hour or two) and check it then, if it still doesn't work, dump it. Plus, if the battery gets too hot, that is really not a good sign.

this happen to me too i took my phone completely apart like took the screws out and took the back off and the components inside out and the battery etc i let it dry completely for like 24 hours and put it back together and it worked fine. if you didnt take it apart theres a chance it still could work. my fiancee washed his in the washer last week and i did tht and now it works fine. try that furst b4 you have to go spend the money on another phone!

Get that battery out at latest! And the sim card. Get a bag finished of rice and placed your telephone interior the direction of the rice and close the bag up and go away it for 4 days. this could draw the moisture out and save your telephone. worked for me and a number of different others i understand of.

You could try getting a new battery for it or have it checked. Whatever you decide, put it in a recycle bin rather than dump it.

Sounds toasted. My experience with wet small electronics has been that it's usually cheaper to replace them than fix them.

I wouldn't take the chance. Just get a new one. Take it to verizon and tell them what happened and they wil give you a replacement.

Some extended warranties cover such damage. Give that a try. Lie if you have to.
